How old do I have to be to work at GYRO's Haunted
Attractions?

You must be at least 18 years old. To work on the Event Staff
Team (formerly known as Security), you must be at least 21.

Where will I be working? Where are GYRO's Haunted
Attractions located?

We have three locations in California. In San Jose (Scream
Fest), we are located at the San Jose Convention Center in
the South Hall on W San Carlos Street (look for the blue tent).
In Sacramento (3D Fear Factory), we are in the Westfield
Shoppingtown Downtown Plaza on L Street. In San Francisco
(Festival of Fear), we are at Pier 48 at China Basin and 3rd.

What positions are open?

We need people for all locations. We are looking for the
following:
- Administration and Production assistants
- Box office manager and staff
- Construction manager and crew
- Costume designers and crew
- Event coordinators
- Lighting/Sound technicians
- Make-up artists
- Merchandising/Concessions manager and staff
- Performance director
- Performers
- Scenic designers and assistants
- Security and First aid
- Special Effects creators and crew

What are the dates and times I will be working?

Everything depends on your job/position. Some positions
start immediately. For example, the construction crew.
Other positions may not start until September. Performance
and security staff start in October, with training sessions
in September.
While we are open to the public, most crew members are expected
to be onsite 1-3 hours prior to that evening's opening. Once you
have been hired, check with your department head for your schedule.
In San Jose, GYRO's Scream Fest opens on Thursday October
20, 2005. In Sacramento, GYRO's 3D Fear Factory opens on Friday
October 7, 2005. In San Francisco, GYRO's Festival of Fear
opens on Thursday October 6, 2005.
